Nokia beefs up ties with Facebook
TT Bureau |  |  09 Sep 2008

Marking its aggressive foray into content provision, mobile phone maker Nokia has stepped up its media sharing site and games offering on Facebook as it seeks to widen its bond with the US-based social-networking site.

The Finnish Company’s Internet services business head Niklas Savander, said the company was in talks with many social networking sites, like Facebook, to simplify access to their sites from Nokia handsets.

Meanwhile, Nokia''s ‘Share on Ovi’ media sharing service unfolded as Facebook application last month, with members of the network having full access to play Nokia’s ‘Reset Generation’.

With its cell phone market hitting a low, Nokia eyes to beef up its presence in the Internet services market.
