Airtel launches ‘CallHome’ service in Singapore

With Bharti Airtel’s virtual calling card service- ‘Airtel CallHome’ hitting the right note in UK, it has now ushered similar service in Singapore, thronging the untested waters of the Asian country.

 

The service, which is hailed as ‘the smartest way to call India’, aims to connect four lakh Non Resident Indians (NRIs) and students in Singapore to their friends and families in India.

 

Besides excellent call quality, the new service will offer competitive call rates, two touch speed dialing for the numbers one calls frequently and will be available 24X7 for the customers, said the company.

 

In addition, the service offers bundle of value added services such as Astro chat and Friends chat keeping the entertainment value high.

 

Available on the pre paid option only, subscribers in Singapore will be able to make calls to India at 10.5 Singapore cents per minute on a toll-free access number. As a part of the promotional offer, subscribers will also get 70 percent extra talk time over and above what is purchased, bringing down the call rates 6.2 cents/min.
