Nokia aims to be a mobile ad agency
TT Bureau |  |  17 Sep 2008

Nokia is aiming to do a Google on the mobile services front as the handset major in its bid to expand its VAS offerings has now teamed up with leading global operators like Sprint and Bharti Airtel along with publishing houses for its upcoming mobile advertisement network.

Among the publishing houses reputed names include the International Herald Tribune Europe, Agence France-Presse France and RTL Mobile Germany in addition to the prevailing partnership with Reuters and Cosmopolitan.

Analysts say that the move is part of Nokia’s strategy to expand into other areas of business particularly in offering services apart from its core business of handset manufacturing.
