Sony Ericsson and Lonely Planet tie-up to offer Mobile City guides and phrase books to travellers

Lonely Planet and Sony Ericsson formed an alliance to offer travellers Mobile City Guides with each guide providing users with 200 points of interest categorized on 6 parameters like See, Eat, Sleep, Shop, Night and Essentials while the audio phrase books offer upto 200 phrases covering information on transport, signs, accommodation, banking, numbers, shopping and sightseeing, eating and drinking, health and emergencies as well as meeting people.

 

While the Mobile City Guides will be available in 14 countries in Europe and also Australia, the phrase book service will be offered in 21 countries including Europe, Australia, Singapore and UAE.
