After Qualcomm, Nokia seeks India patent for multimedia application
TT Bureau |  |  13 Oct 2008

Nokia announced that it has sought a patent for its multimedia application which allows a user group to share multimedia contents during a group communication.

The handset maker has approached the Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trade Marks for the patent.

Nokia says its application enables users to take turns to speak and listen to each other including data calls, audio calls, video calls, multimedia calls, messaging and emails. Nokia says another important point is that its content sharing technology skips user terminal and the data reaches directly to the communication server from the media server.
