HCL, Nokia plan JV to offer VAS and mobile content in India
TT Correspondent |  New Delhi |  28 Jan 2009

HCL Infosystems in association with Nokia is planning to come up with a joint venture in India which will offer value added services (VAS) and entertainment content directly to consumers.

"An important part of our future distribution strategies in India is that we want to ensure that our value added services and entertainment offerings are readily available to all consumers, adding that this arrangement is a natural continuation of our long term collaboration with HCL in India,” said D Sivakumar, VP & MD Nokia, India.

The tie-up aims to offer such services by this year subject to regulatory approvals.
