NSDL launches new GPRS-based service for investors

The National Securities Depository Ltd (NSDL) launched a new service, SIMPLE allowing investors to submit share delivery instructions for pay-in purposes through the mobile medium.

SIMPLE stands for Submission of Instruction through Mobile Phone Login Easily.

To avail the service, investors need to register for the SPEED e-service which is a facility to submit delivery instructions through the net. Upon login to the website, the investor will be provided three options, to submit instructions, view ISINs and Settlement Calendar.

NSDL claims to have over 10 million customers who maintain their DEMAT accounts with it.
