Vodafone charters Microsoft envoy for Internet operations

Vodafone Group Plc announces the creation of Vodafone Internet Services to lead the development of Vodafone’s existing and future consumer propositions for the internet. For this Vodafone hires Pieter Knook, a senior vice president of Microsoft to head up new internet services.

 

The newly appointed boss will be responsible for new revenue growth around internet, content and advertising giving attention on Vodafone’s services by creating rich and distinctive experiences for customers.

 

Vodafone Internet services will focus on the provision and delivery of typical consumer web services like IP communications, Mobile internet access and selected content categories, via mobile devices
