India’s share rises rapidly in Admob’s global ad requests

The Indian market clocked 1.7 billion mobile web ad requests on Admob’s platform in the month of April, 2010 making  it the only country to record a growth of 2.1% in the global market share.

Traffic from India continues to be the second highest traffic on Admob’s platform lagging only USA. India’s share comprised 9.5% in Admob’s overall ad request traffic for the month of April, 2010.

Nokia continues to dominate the Indian mobile web space with the top 10 handsets used most popularly by users belonging to Nokia brand. Nokia also managed to increase its market share from 56% in March, 2010 to 59% in April, 2010 for the share in requests.

In the OS space, Symbian heavily dominates the Indian mobile web space.
