IBM launches cloud computing centre at Bangalore
TT Correspondent |  Bangalore |  25 Sep 2008

In an effort to provide better provisioning, monitoring and reporting of IT resources to its customers spanning the government sector, educational institutes and communications industry through cloud computing, IBM announced the launch of its cloud computing centre at Bangalore.

The centre allows IBM’s customers to test pilot projects.

According to Program Director, Lab Services and Solutions, IBM Software Group, Pankaj Sinha, unlike a conventional application running environment where one has to manually ensure that the right operating system, middleware and the right application configured, a cloud computing environment integrates all these automatically as per the requirement.

Further to this, cloud computing also enables real time monitoring of resources.
