TT Bureau |  |  10 Oct 2008

Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. said today that its WiMAX base station- the WiMAX DBS3900, and two of its terminal products- the BM325 and BM625, have received one each Wave 2 certifications from the WiMAX Forum, making it the possessor of  maximum number of Wave2 end-to-end certified products with three certifications.

Wave2 certification, which represents a stamp of standardization and efficiency of WiMAX multiple products, had its testing commissioned in AT4 wireless laboratory, the WiMAX Forum Lead Laboratory.

Huawei WiMAX DBS3900 is based on Huawei’s latest generation base station convergence (LGBS) platform which supports multi-mode functionality, such as WiMAX and GSM, says the company.

The BM325 is an innovative WiMAX USB data card, and the BM625, is a WiMAX Customer Premise Equipment (CPE), which provide end-users with the means to experience broadband services while on the go.

While commenting on the accomplishment, Mr. Zhao Ming, President of Huawei CDMA & WiMAX Product Line said, “We are very excited to obtain Wave 2 certifications for both our base station products and terminal products. It is a testimony to the quality and maturity of our end-to-end WiMAX solutions that are highly interoperable.”
