Motorola''s Enterprise Mobility division announced the introduction of 3G WAN enterprise digital assistant (EDA), MC75 in India with an aim to helping organisations increase worker productivity and efficiency, reduce operational costs and errors, and enhance customer service by delivering simultaneous voice, data, GPS navigation, and camera-based document capture.

“The MC75 EDA is a testament to Motorola’s ability to foresee the changing needs of enterprises to offer their field workforce access to business critical data and rich mobile enterprise application over a single size optimized rugged device.  It also illustrates Motorola’s commitment to deliver integrated technology that leverages the powers of convergence to enable enterprise customers to gain a competitive edge”, said Soumitra Sana, country president, Motorola India Private Ltd.

The device which has a 2 mega pixel digital auto-focus colour camera and can also capture 1D and 2D bar codes is compatible to 802.11a/b/g standards along with supporting HSDPA and CDMA-EVDO standards for wireless communication. Enterprise applications like ERP and CRM can also be incorporated to the device. It is based on Intel’s XScale PXA270 624 MHz processor and Microsoft® Windows Mobile® 6.0 operating system to provide increased interoperability with existing enterprise infrastructure, enhanced security features, a flexible development platform and improved mobile messaging, claims Motorola.
