Tata Communications’ net loss at Rs 213.50 cr

Tata Communications on Thursday reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 213.50 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2010.

 

The Tata Group company had posted a net loss of Rs 155.54 crore for the same period last year.

 

The company''s total income, however, increased by 8.82 per cent to Rs 2,960.66 crore in Q2, FY'11, from Rs 2,720.48 crore in the same quarter last fiscal, Tata Communications said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

 

Tata Communications' global voice solutions division contributed Rs 1,616.75 crore to total revenue, its global data and managed services vertical accounted for Rs 1,139.42 crore in the second quarter of the ongoing fiscal.

 

The company also reported a net forex gain of Rs 39.01 crore in the reporting quarter, the filing said. In contrast, it had suffered a net forex loss of of Rs 2.98 crore in Q2, FY'10.
