Vodafone Essar plans to put telecom towers on sale

Vodafone Essar is looking to sell its 7000 telecom towers that fall outside the purview of Indus Towers reports say. The valuation is likely to be Rs. 4,000 crore.

The company has reportedly called for bids without any bankers involved. GTL Infrastructure is reported to be involved in the race.

In a statement to media, Vodafone said, "We review options for these (7,000 tower) assets from time to time."

Vodafone Essar has 16,000 towers in total with 9,000 part of Indus Towers.
