ZTE & Alcatel-Lucent emerge lowest bidders for BSNL gear

Alcatel-Lucent and ZTE have emerged as the lowest bidders for BSNL’s 5.5 million GSM tender.

Business Line reports that Alcatel-Lucent quoted $ 53 per line for radio access equipment while ZTE has quoted $ 8 per line for core network gear. Others in the race included Huawei and Nokia Siemens.
