Bharti to award Africa network contract to Ericsson, NSN and Huawei

Bharti airtel is set to award telecom infrastructure contracts to Ericsson, Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) and Huawei Technologies reports the Economic Times.

According to the report such contracts will be spread over five years and will collectively be valued at over $ 3 billion.

The report further adds that ZTE too was in the fray but ultimately the three vendors bagged the deal.

Bharti airtel has earlier awarded BPO contracts for its African operations to IBM, Tech Mahindra and Spanco. Additionally the company has awarded IT outsourcing contract to IBM.
