Synchronica receives expansion order from Pan-African operator
TT Correspondent |  Mumbai |  02 Dec 2010

Synchronica plc, the international provider of next-generation mobile messaging services, has received a US$ 975,000 volume expansion order for additional Mobile Gateway licenses from a tier-one, pan-African mobile operator group

This expansion order is in addition to the initial order for a pilot installation and associated professional services, worth US$ 752,000, under the group-wide framework agreement announced on 15 October 2010. This new order is the first expansion order received from the Operator and brings the total deal value to date to US$ 1,727,000.

Carsten Brinkschulte, CEO of Synchronica, comments, "We are pleased to see this significant expansion order from one of the largest operator groups in Africa, demonstrating commitment to a mass-market rollout of their Synchronica-based mobile messaging solution in Africa. Across the continent, mobile phones are becoming an invaluable social tool that bring people together, seal business deals, and keep families in touch. Mobile Gateway’s push email, synchronization, social networking and mobile Instant Messaging are already helping carriers in Africa to improve customer stickiness and reduce churn."
