TT Correspondent |  |  25 Jan 2011

The TAIPA welcomed Union Communications Minister, Kapil Sibal’s initiatives on formulating the National Telecom Policy 2011.

“I believe the TAIPA formation is appropriately timed, considering the proposed Telecom Policy. The emergence of sharing between Infrastructure providers and service providers will be the cornerstone in the new telecom environment. This will mark the next phase of growth, which will be represented by broadband, wireless and the emerging mobile Internet society,” said Umang Das, Director General, Tower and Infrastructure Providers Association.
