TT Correspondent |  |  08 Feb 2011

The international provider of next generation mobile messaging services, Synchronica plc announced it’s fourth quarter trading updates for the year ended 31 December 2010.

For 2010, Synchronica had revenue of approximately USD 11 million, an increase of 86 percent over fiscal year 2009. The company recorded revenues of approximately USD 5.3 million in the fourth quarter.

Carsten Brinkschulte, CEO of Synchronica, said: "The fourth quarter of 2010 was a strong growth period for Synchronica, continuing the success we had in the rest of the year. In particular, the significant growth in operator customers, which has tripled our addressable user market, positions us well for continued growth." “Device manufacturer contracts were also a strong contributor to revenue in 2010, Synchronica signed two contracts with device manufacturers last year each with a value of over USD 1 million", Brinkschulte added.

Synchronica’s global customer base covers over 4o countries and 4 continents. Recently, it announced an agreement to acquire the instant messaging business of Neustar NGM Services Ltd. This acquisition includes the related intellectual property, eleven live contracts with tier one and tier two mobile operators and two contracts with tier one device manufacturers for a cash consideration of USD 251,000.
