Alcatel –Lucent posts strong Q4 results

Telecom Equipment maker Alcatel –Lucent announced its fourth quarter results with  a total revenue of 4.862 billion euros in the fourth year and full year earnings of 15.9 billion euros which is a 5.5% higher than the previous year.

 

The group recorded an overall net loss of 334 million euros in 2010 while in 2009 the overall net loss estimated to 524 million dollars.

 Ben Verwaayen, CEO, said,“I am energized by the progress we have made over the past two years. We have overhauled our product portfolio, introduced our High Leverage Network and Application Enablement strategy, increased our customer relevance and improved our operational excellence, highlighted by the outstanding revenue growth and strong margin performance in the fourth quarter.”He  further added “As we enter into 2011, I am more confident than ever in our ability to transform into a normal company. I am proud of their accomplishments and want to thank them for their efforts throughout this past year.”
