Juniper Networks wins IP&TV World Forum award

Juniper Networks announced it received an IP&TV World Forum Award as part of the IP&TV World Forum event. The Juniper Networks Media Flow Publisher was selected as the winner in the “Best Network or Access Network Technology for IP TV” category.

 

“The IP&TV Industry Awards are a fantastic opportunity to celebrate and recognize the innovation, excellence and achievement within the global IP delivered TV industry,” said Gavin Whitechurch, director, IP&TV World Forum. “The standard of entries was extremely high and the judges were faced with difficult decisions on selecting this year’s winners. I congratulate Juniper Networks on winning this award.”

The new application complements and extends the capabilities of Juniper Networks Media Flow Controller, which is an innovative content delivery and caching software that enables customers to deliver rich media with maximum performance, efficiency and scale. Media Flow Publisher allows customers to convert existing video streams and content for adaptive bitrate streaming cost-effectively, enabling the content to be delivered over the Internet and other unmanaged networks with a superior quality of experience.

 

The IP&TV Industry Awards is an annual event recognizing and celebrating innovation, excellence and achievement in the IP&TV industry. The 2011 Awards were judged by a prestigious panel of senior and expert individuals, drawn from cable and telecom operators and independent experts, representing a cross-section of leading service providers from around the world.
