Goldstone plans IPTV foray in 11 countries

President and CEO of Goldstone Technologies, Rajesh Kalidindi said that the company aims to launch IPTV services in 11 countries by 2008-09. He further revealed that the company will primarily target South-East Asian and European countries for offering regional content as there is a huge demand for Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Gujarati, and Punjabi content in these regions, he added.

 

Kalidindi added that apart from the recently launched services in Thailand, the company will launch services in Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Japan, New Zealand, the UK, France, Germany, Israel and Spain in the next 11-18 months.

 

The company is targeting 75,000 subscribers by the end of 2008-09.

 

On the revenue sharing front, the CEO said that local operators will get 15 per cent of the total revenues, content providers 30 per cent and the remaining will belong to Goldstone.
