JDU, BSNL Officers Association demands Maran''s resignation

Alleging that Sun TV owned by Maran’s family  received a kickback was to the tune of Rs 600 crore, the Janata Dal (United) president Sharad Yadav on Saturday demanded the immediate removal of Textile Minister Dayanidhi Maran who is under the scanner in the 2G spectrum case.

"The dirty deal in the 2G case is crystal clear. But he (Maran) is still continuing in the ministry. The Prime Minister should not waste any time in removing him from the government," he said told reporters.

Meanwhile the All India Bharath Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) Officers Association has demanded the resignation of Union Minister for Textiles Dayanidhi Maran in the wake of the allegations against him with respect to issue of telecom licences and misuse of BSNL telephone lines. A press release issued here on Sunday said Mr.Maran should immediately resign from Union ministry.
