Huawei Symantec launches SSD System

Huawei Symantec Technologies on Monday today unveiled a solid-state storage system that packs up to 24 solid-state drives inside a 2u rack.

 

Called the Dorado 2100 series, Ken Zarrabi, senior product management manager for global marketing and product management for Huawei Symantec in the U.S., says this offering not only fits easily into a standard rack, it provides 135,000 I/O operations per second, making it one of the fastest storage systems available.

Based on a NAND Flash architecture developed by Huawei Symantec, the Dorado 2100 series is part of a rapidly expanding lineup for storage and security products that the China-based company is now offering in the U.S.
