CommScope upgrades GeoLENs MLC

CommScope, a global leader in infrastructure solutions for communication networks, has upgraded its GeoLENs Mobile Location Center (MLC) with powerful new capabilities including a combined dual plane functionality that helps determine the location of mobile devices in difficult-to-reach areas.

 

 “The GeoLENs MLC is already one of the most versatile multivendor mobile location platforms, supporting both gateway and serving functions for security, emergency, and commercial applications with handset-based, network-based, and hybrid locating technologies,” said John Baker, vice president and general manager, Network Solutions, CommScope.

 

“This new release adds more unified intelligence to these multiple capabilities and can locate more wireless callers at one time.” The upgraded GeoLENs MLC 10.2 offers wireless operators many benefits. They are-higher yield and accuracy with dual plane capability, GeoLENs MLC 10.2 can dynamically switch between control plane and secure user plane locating solutions to provide better accuracy and yield., and increased capacity and lower cost.
