TT Correspondent |  |  27 Jul 2011

Comviva, the global leader in providing mobile solutions beyond VAS hasw been declared a winner in the mBillionth South Asia Awards 2011 for its pioneering work in extending voice based applications across the mobile user base with its Aggregated Voice and Video Applications Network (AVAN).

The award was presented at a ceremony organized recently in New Delhi by its convener, Digital Empowerment Foundation, and sponsored by Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.

Comviva’s AVAN enables operators to deliver a highly diverse portfolio of voice and video content and applications in a simple, standard way. AVAN achieves this by enabling the wider application developer community to rapidly develop and deploy applications on the platform – and providing a uniform access interface for the end user..

Speaking on the occasion, Milind Pathak, Vice President, South Asia, Comviva said, “It is an honour to receive mBillionth South Asia Award as it is an acknowledgement of our focus on improving lives with innovative solution. Our goal in Comviva is to enrich people’s lives with mobile solutions beyond VAS.
