Taiwan''s HTC Corp. has decided to go ahead with the sale of its EVO 3D smartphone in Europe through UK-based Vodafone Group Plc, the reports coming in from various sources suggest.
Earlier there were media reports which said that the launch of the premium line has been cancelled.
According to the reports, Vodafone indicated that the cancellation was due to HTC's delay of the EVO 3D launch, which would mean the EVO 3D would likely be "coming out at the same time as other exciting handsets."
But HTC rebutted the reports in an e-mailed statement late Sunday, saying the EVO 3D will go on sale through Vodafone and distributors in six major European countries.
HTC, the world's No. 5 smartphone maker, said it is confident in its product marketing and its ties with carrier partners in Europe and has planned a second wave of marketing projects in the region. |
