MTNL, Aksh to offer 100 channel IPTV services without any monthly rental for one year

Reports state that MTNL and Aksh Optifibre are planning to offer subscribers in Mumbai a bouquet of 100 IPTV channels with no monthly rentals for one year. The offer to be applicable from April 1 will require the subscriber to making a one-time registration fee of Rs 500 and Rs.3000 refundable deposit for the set-top boxes.

 

The tie-up is targeting 25,000 subscribers in the new fiscal and claim that the tariff will be drastically reduced.

 

The tie-up will also be offering video phone calling service and time-shift TV which will enable subscribers to view television content aired by any channel available at the push of a button.
