TT Correspondent |  |  29 Aug 2011

Samsung will soon launch Samsung ChatON messaging service. According to a Samsung official the ‘Ch@tOn’ service is  a free global communication service that allows content sharing and conversations among all the major mobile devices across the world. The service is going to be made available in 62 languages in over 120 countries. It will work on all mobile devices regardless of the platform. ChatOn would be a great way to interact with family and friends.. The ChatOn service will support groups so that you can have a group chat and a web-client will be made available so that the PC users don’t feel left out.

With Ch@tON, the smartphone users will be able to rank their buddies depending on how frequently they communicate. Users will be able to comment on user profiles, photos and videos. The service allows users to create animated messages and send them to their friends, who will see the animation exactly the same way sender created it. Of course, these animated messages will support audio and video. The messages will be grouped using a feature called ‘Trunk’. The service will be officially announced at IFA 2011.
