After introducing 5 megapixel camera, Samsung is now coming up with 8 megapixel camera module to take mobile camera to new levels. To gain a headstart, the company has developed world’s ultra-thin CMOS camera phone module.

The company said the module has dimensions of 28mm × 15.3mm × 8.5mm and offer wide range of features from the next line-up of camera phones like face-detection, better macro and night modes.

According to the company the main differentiator with the developed phone is the thinness of the product apart from the high resolution offered.
