2G scam: CBI takes U-turn, says no clean chit to Anil Ambani
TT Correspondent |  |  03 Oct 2011

The CBI on Sunday said that it was still probing the role of Anil Ambani as part of its investigation into the 2G scam and that he has not been given any clean chit yet.

This was clarified by a spokesperson for the investigating agency in the context of reports that RADAG Chairman Anil Ambani had been given a clean chit in the structuring of different companies and transfer of funds relating to Swan Telecom which had got Spectrum license.

CBI sources drew attention to the submission made by its counsel before the Supreme Court two days ago in which he had stated that the role of Anil Ambani and other employees in relation to 9.9 per cent share in the Swan Telecom that was sold to Mauritius-based Delphi was being probed.
