2G Scam: SC to resume hearing on PC’s role on Monday
TT Correspondent |  |  10 Oct 2011

The Supreme Court is likely to pass an order to initiate investigation into the role of P Chidambaram in 2G spectrum allocation case when it resumes hearing on Monday.

The apex Court might order to from a special investigation team to probe PC’s role in 2G scam which allegedly caused huge loss to state exchequer.

The UPA government has been struggling to defend the former finance minister ever since  A Raja said that he knew everything in 2G spectrum allocation. The Janata Party President Subramanian Swamy has also been demanding inquiry into his role saying that PC was party to all the decisions taken by Raja.

The CBI, it may be recalled, had defended PC rejecting noted lawyer Prashant Bhushan’s plea that finance ministry could have intervened and stall the 2G spectrum allocations after irregularities were brought to its notice.
