ZTE recognized as 2011 LTE vendor of the year

ZTE Corporation a publicly-listed global provider of telecommunications equipment and network solutions, on Thursday announced that it has been named LTE Vendor of the Year for 2011 by leading consulting firm Frost & Sullivan.

 

The Frost & Sullivan LTE Vendor of the Year award is given to companies that have achieved excellence in the LTE space in a given year. ZTE was selected as the 2011 winner on the strength of its growing number of contract wins and patent applications. The company’s industry leading system equipment has entered high-end markets such as Europe, Japan and the United States making the company one of the world’s most competitive LTE solutions providers.

 

“ZTE is honored to be recognized by Frost & Sullivan as a leader in the LTE field,” said Mr.Richard Lihe Ye, the Senior Director of Wireless Product Operation in ZTE Corporation. “The award is illustrative of the company’s commitment to the development and commercialization of next-generation technology.”

 

ZTE is a leader in developing LTE technologies. To date, ZTE has applied to ETSI for 235 essential patents (EPs) for LTE standards, accounting for approximately 7 per cent of the total number of EP applications globally.
