Trai extends deadline for comments on broadcast sector entry by new entities

A consultation paper on the Issues relating to entry of certain entities into Broadcasting and Distribution activities was issued by Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) on 25th February, 2008.

Stakeholders had asked for extension of time from TRAI for sending comments. Keeping both the importance of the issue and the need for wider participation of stakeholders in the consultation process, TRAI has decided to extend the last date for receiving the comments on the same by 15 days i.e. 9th April, 2008.
