Bharti Airtel, in partnership with Savvis, a global enterprise IT service provider on Friday launched its managed and cloud services for enterprise customers.

Savvis will operate  Airtel’s data centre in Bangalore and will, in turn, provide the expertise and global technology needed to offer such services at the enterprise level.

“We have brought 150 experts from US to help the people in the data centre with technology and to deliver global services to the Indian clients”, said Managing Director Asia of Savvis, Mark A Smith.

Bharti Airtel, which already has 2,000 customers in the enterprise sector, is looking forward to giving the data hosting services to those companies with this tie-up with Savvis that has 2,500 global customers.

“Through this partnership Airtel will use its customer base and Savvis will use the expertise in technology to deliver world-class cloud services to our customers,” said CEO of Airtel Enterprise Service, Milan Rao.
