Over 10 billion applications have been downloaded from the Android Market, which offers variety of programmes for smartphones, and tablets that use the search giant's operating system, According a BBC report quoting from a Google’s blog
Google said that these apps were being downloaded at a rate of one billion a month which in any way is startling.
To mark the moment Google said that for the next 10 days it would cut the price of some top apps to 10p each, the BBC reports.
Google expressed surprised at the pace of downloads were made. It said that figures startling as it took Android 22 months to reach one billion downloads, but only one month to go from nine billion to 10 billion. |
