TT Correspondent |  |  12 Dec 2011

Ruias, the promoters of Essar Group and the Khaitans could figure in the third chargesheet likely to be filed by the CBI on Monday. They face accusation of creating Loop for getting more spectrum.

Former Telecom Minister A Raja will also be named in the chargesheet as he had a role in the Essar-Loop telecom deal. He along with many corporate honchos was arrested in the 2G spectrum allocation case. While most of these corporate executives got the bail, Raja and the former telecom secretary Behura are still in Jail

According to the agency Essar group floated Loop Telecom flouting telecom guidelines. Essar holds sizeable shares in the existing operating company Vodafone.

Essar Group’s Ravi Ruia, son Anshuman Ruia and Ruia brothers’ sister Kiran Khaitan and her husband IP Khaitan are expected to figure in the new chargesheet along with Raja and former telecom secretary Siddharth Behura.
