Witnesses point finger at Vikas Saraf for Essar deals
TT Correspondent |  |  14 Dec 2011

The CBI probing the 2G spectrum allocation case, in its third chargesheet has singled out Essar group director Vikas Saraf''s role who is believed to have played a major catalyst in takeover of Loop Telecom and its being control by Essar.

The basis of CBI specifically pointing finger on him was the statements given by three Essar officials namely Ajay Madan and Somasundaram Subramaniam, both former board members of Essar, and Priyadarshi Sidhartha, former company secretary of Essar in September. The CBI recorded their statements under section 164 of CrPC in Patiala House court.
