Buoyed by huge response, RIM extends offer on BlackBerry PlayBook by a week
TT Correspondent |  |  02 Jan 2012

Encouraged by the huge response after slashing the BlackBerry PlayBook prices by almost half, Research In Motion (RIM) has decided to extend offer by another week. The offer was valid till December 31.

Last week as part of promotional activities Research in Motion (RIM) had slashed the price of its tablet, PlayBook by 50 percent for Indian market.

Despite the apprehension of the vendors that  may not entice many and that sale of these tablets are yet to pick up in India, the company has sold more than 12,000 devices in just four days since the offer was announced.

The company had said that this was just a limited offer aimed at popularizing the devices which is valid till 31st December 2011.
