The NGO told Finance Minister Pranab Mukkherjee during the pre-budget consultation.

In their submission to Finance Minister Pranab Mukherkjee during the pre-budget consultation, Greenpeace called for increased allocation of funds for renewable energy.

Greenpeace said that teleco sector which devours Rs.2,600 crores of subsidies is the second largest diesel consumer in the country after railways.
