TCS sings pact with Europcar to manage IT services development in France

Tata Consultancy Services a leading IT services, consulting and business solutions firm has signed a multi-year, multi- million euro pact contract with Europcar, the car rental leader in Europe to manage strategic IT Services development for latter’s French operations.

 

“The objective of the partnership is to continue to improve our structured and standardized development process across Europcar. We were looking for a partner with the highest standard in quality; demonstrated flexibility and one that could help us optimize both time-to-market and cost control. TCS scored high on all counts and its strong global delivery model (GNDM) and industry knowledge of our field was key criteria in our selecting them for this project. TCS’ localization strategy with mixed teams at all levels also proved to be a key factor in the selection process.” said Pascal VALLERENT, Skill Center Director from Europcar Information Services.

 

This partnership with Europcar  is part of the development of a strategic relationship with industry leading companies in France. It reiterates TCS’ strategic commitment to the region and our ability to create operating models specific to the unique needs of our French clients”, said Kumar Narayanan, Director & Country Head of TCS France.

 

TCS said that this announcement marks further expansion into Europe for TCS’ Travel, Transport & Hospitality (TTH) Industry Solution Unit. Comprising over 4000 consultants the unit works with more than customers worldwide including some of the global top 10 industry leaders in airlines, hospitality, car rentals, shipping and logistics.

 

TCS has operated in France since 1992, with offices in Paris - La Défense and in Toulouse. The unit comprises over 1000 professionals based both in France and at the company’s delivery centers worldwide.
