Vodafone India sets a Guinness world records feat for uninterrupted conversation on its network

Vodafone India, one of India’s leading telecommunication service providers, has set a new Guinness World Records feat of uninterrupted conversation on its network for more than 24 hours. This record of "Most number of people in a telephone conversation relay", makes Vodafone as the first ever telecom company in India to get a distinction for its superior network.

 

This record that was established on 29th March, 2012 was for an uninterrupted telephone conversation relay for 25 hours 11 minutes & 40 second in Mumbai with the most number of people. The call started on 28th March 2012 at 12 noon and went on till 13:00 hours, 11 minutes and 40 seconds. There were a total number of 36 people who participated in this uninterrupted conversation. The record was adjudicated by Mr. Jack Brockbank from Guinness World Records who was present on site.

 

Elaborating on this achievement, Sanjoy Mukerji, Chief Commercial Officer, Vodafone India said, "It is a momentous occasion for each one of us at Vodafone. This record is a recognition foe the team and testimony to their efforts to ensure superior quality network, which is characterized by seamless connectivity, voice quality & clarity and no call drops."

 

Sharing his views on the record, Vishant Vora, Chief Technology Officer, Vodafone India says, "This is heartening and a result of the consistent efforts to strengthen our network. We, at Vodafone have made considerable investments in the quality of our network and customer service and are geared up with the technology to enable us service our customer base across the country."
