Buongiorno appoints Rakshit Kapoor as country head for India operations

Buongiorno, the multinational leader at a global level in the development and management of paid apps and services for mobile devices, has appointed Rakshit Kapoor as its Country Head for India operations.

 

Rakshit has previously worked as Head of Content with Idea Cellular Limited and Indiatimes and was involved in an entrepreneurial stint with Harmonix, a company which was active in providing content solutions to businesses across India and Europe.

 

For Buongiorno, the year2011 was characterized by two extraordinary operations: the acquisition of Dada.net (B2C) and the subsequent spin-off of the major part of B2B activity. Through these operations, Buongiorno pursued a B2C focused positioning and a greater homogeneity in offerings throughout different international markets.

 

Buongiorno recently announced its consolidated Value of Production of 201; which was 234.0 million Euros and the consolidated Net Revenues of 2011 were 228.6 million Euros, an increase of 8% when compared to the 210.9 million Euros of 2010.

 

Buongiorno plans to make its presence even stronger in the Indian market by bringing in their global expertise in product innovation; customising it for Indian customers. The company with its innovative global smartphone strategy has the capability to address this burgeoning segment that promises outstanding growth rate in India and worldwide. 

Buongiorno is already integrated with Airtel, Idea, Tata DoCoMo, Reliance, BSNL, Loop Mobile, MTNL Delhi, MTNL Mumbai. Their current product offering is a B2C WAP portal. Plans are to take it to the next level along with bringing in their new globally developed and locally customised consumer products.
