BoxTone Extends management platform to BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0
TT Correspondent |  |  03 May 2012

BoxTone, the innovator of Automated Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM), has said that it has extended its management platform to provide enterprise IT operations, support and security professionals with unified management and control of BlackBerry PlayBook tablets running PlayBook OS 2.0.

By delivering real time management, monitoring and support for the new PlayBook OS, large organizations especially those in regulated industries such as financial services, government and healthcare can better ensure high service quality and security at the lowest cost and risk.

"Before they can fully mobilize their workforce, regulated organizations and mission critical mobile scenarios require both superior mobile data security and superior service quality," said Brian Reed, chief product officer, BoxTone. "That's why so many large enterprises turn to BoxTone whenever they choose to roll out new mobile devices, apps and services, like the PlayBook. BoxTone's EMM platform automates management, monitoring and support, enabling the rapid operationalization of devices and apps while freeing up IT to focus on the more strategic aspects of mobility."

Featuring an integrated email client with a unified inbox, calendar and contacts with social integration, enhanced Web browsing and updated Documents To Go® and new Print To Go® apps, BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0 delivers the tools enterprise users need to be productive while on the go. And with support from alliance partners like BoxTone, enterprise users of the PlayBook can achieve their full productivity potential in a secure, easily managed and supported environment.

BoxTone enables the enterprise to mobilize safely, reliably and efficiently by delivering an automated EMM platform that simplifies the delivery of mobile services from a single point of control.
