Aegis and Convergence India introduces 3rd Aegis Graham Bell Awards 2012

Aegis and Convergence India have introduced the 3rd Aegis Graham Bell Awards 2012, India's largest and only award in the field of Telecom, Internet, Media & Edutainment (TIME).

 

The award is aimed at creating an ecosystem to promote innovation, entrepreneurship and to recognize outstanding contributions. This award is organised with support of Cellular Operator Association of India (COAI) and in association with Bloomberg UTV as Media Partner; PwC as knowledge Partner. Kapil Sibal, Hon'ble Telecom Minister, Govt. of India will honor the winners in final award ceremony on Friday, 12 October 2012 in New Delhi.

 

The nominations are being invited for the 2nd Jury Round of Aegis Graham Bell Awards 2012 to be held on 20 July 2012, New Delhi. On this day companies will present, in slots of 15 minutes, their latest Innovations. Deadline for submitting nominations for second jury round is 22 June 2012.

 

The 1st Jury Round of Aegis Graham Bell Awards 2012 was successfully held during 20th Convergence India 2012 from 21-23 March 2012. Over 80 Companies from all over the world presented 120 nominations to the jury. The prominent companies who participated in round 1 includes Reliance, Nokia Siemens Network, Mahindra Satyam, Comviva, Apalya, Indus Tower, Bharti Infratel, Juniper, Cisco, Idea Cellular, TechMahindra, Infosys, Spice Digital, TCS, Telcordia, Tejas Networks, CanvasM etc.

 

Some of the prominent Jury Members include, V.P. Chandan, Director, Aegis School of Business, Consultant World Bank, Former President, Qualcomm India, Rajan Mathews, Director General, COAI, B.D,Khurana, Newgen Holdings & Group Companies; Padamshree Dr. Ashok Jhunjhunwala, IIT Madras, Mahesh Vaidya, Director, Intel Capital; Dr. Sougata Mukherjea, Head, Telecom & Mobile Research, IBM; S.P.Shukla, President; Special Group Projects, Mahindra, Satyen Gupta, Member, Committee for IPv6 Address allocation policy at Govt. of India etc.
