Nokia to introduce ‘Tube’ to compete with Apple iPhone
TT Bureau |  |  08 Apr 2008

Nokia, in an answer to Apple iPhone is coming up with a new device dubbed ‘Tube’ which features all capabilities found in popular iPhone.

Nokia showcased the concept of ‘Tube’ at the Evans Data Developer Relations Conference in Redwood City.

Tom Libretto, vice president of Forum Nokia said “It’s our first touch device. Interfacing with the system is done via touch similar to the iPhone.”

The company believes that this device can compete with iPhone as Nokia’s ‘Tube’ supports Java which Apple has been reluctant to do with iPhone.

The company however didn’t disclose the date of shipment for the device.
