Ericsson signs managed services agreement with Mobilicity
TT Correspondent |  |  04 Jul 2012

Ericsson on Wednesday announced that it has expanded its managed services agreement with Mobilicity in Canada. This announcement marks the extension of the first managed services contract between Ericsson and Mobilicity, originally signed in 2009 in connection with the rollout of Mobilicity's network in Canada.

In addition to the current scope, Ericsson will expand its role to also take responsibility for network planning, engineering, optimization, customer management as well as integration support for new sites.

Loris Zaia, Executive Vice-President, Ericsson Canada, says: "I am excited that we are further extending our relationship with Mobilicity. It reaffirms the high quality of Ericsson’s technologies and services and creates new opportunities for Mobilicity to maximize the value of its capital expenditures and operating cost to improve capacity, coverage and ultimately the quality of service for its customers."

Today, Ericsson is the undisputed leader in managed services. In all current managed services contracts, Ericsson is globally managing networks that together serve more than 900 million subscribers worldwide. By teaming up with Ericsson, operators can strengthen their competitive edge through improved network availability and capacity, while reducing their operating costs. This, in turn, increases market growth for mobile services, which helps improve the quality of services and the end-user experience.
