Court allows Essar Group and Loop Telecom promoters to visit abroad

A Delhi court has permitted the promoters of Essar Group and Loop Telecom, accused in2G spectrum allocation scam, to visit abroad from tomorrow till August 26. The court also allowed the similar plea of co-accused Vikash Saraf, Essar Group Director (Strategy and Planning).

Their counsel told the Special CBI Judge O P Saini said their case is listed for hearing on August 27 and they would come back to attend the proceedings on that day.

Besides them, the court also allowed a similar plea of co-accused Vikash Saraf, Essar Group Director (Strategy and Planning).

"All five applications are allowed," the judge said after the CBI prosecutor did not object to their pleas.

CBI prosecutor A K Singh submitted that he does not have any objection to their pleas for travelling abroad from August 2 to August 26, but they must be present in the court on August 27.
