China Mobile, Apple negotiations over iPhone release in China fail
TT Bureau |  |  14 Apr 2008

China Mobile cited that concerns about business models and commercial aspects have prevented the company from further talks with Apple over iPhone release in China.

China Mobile CEO, Wang Jianzhou said “The business models of the two companies like are not compatible.” The major cause of disagreement is believed to be Apple’s persistent demand on revenue sharing model with Apple seeking a greater share.

Wang though added that the company is not closing its doors to Apple’s iPhone as long as there is consumer demand.
