Etisalat recognized for mobile health initiative in Africa

Etisalat Group, the telecommunications corporation with operations in 15 markets across the Middle East, Africa and Asia, has won the Social Contribution award from the World Communication Awards at a recent ceremony held in London, the United Kingdom.
 
Etisalat Group won the award for the Mobile Baby mHealth initiative amongst stiff competition from global telecommunications players.  
 
The company said that this achievement is a culmination of the Group’s efforts in developing and providing unprecedented services to customers across 15 countries of operation, helping accelerate social and economic development. 
 
Etisalat was recognized for achieving significant success in 15 countries across the Middle East, Africa and Asia, leading to a market value of approximately $23 billion and annual revenue topping $8.5 billion and a customer base of 125 million.
